Florida man Carracino attempts to get the On-duty Officer to join him for a Puff and gets arrested
Florida man Arthur Carracino only desired to smoke a bowl with officers of his home-grown cannabis. Florida man is taken into custody after behaving too friendly and welcoming to the police. Bunnell, Florida resident Arthur Carracino only desired a pair of Flagler County Sheriff’s deputies to taste his home-grown marijuana plant and inhale a bowl with him. A video captured in a security camera in the wee hours of the morning, Carracino tried to convince the on-duty officer to enjoy a puff with him. And half-heartedly, that officer finished up arresting Carracino for budding marijuana, which is criminalized in Florida.
“You Gotta Smoke a Bowl with Me Please”
At times, you just need to be socially extrovert. At times, you felt that urge to share a bowl with someone. Even if they’re police officer and if you’re a Florida man. “I know, you’re on duty,” Carracino said to the unconvinced officer, as he nonetheless heads off into the darkness to get his pipe. The rural town of Bunnell sits on the east coast of Florida, about midway between St. Augustine and Daytona Beach. There’s not too much for Flagler County police to do. Citizens like Carracino seem like they could have some company, as well.
So when officers’ perform their duty next to Carracino’s house countering to an entirely dissimilar incident, this brave Florida man felt to do the hospitable thing. From the police officer statement, Carracino was smoking cannabis when they arrived.
The resulting body-cam video recording is touching and ludicrous. It’s the middle of the night. But there’s Carracino, poorly dressed in a blue speedo and an unbuttoned button-up shirt, wearing a large silver locket that reflects the beam of an officer’s flashlight.
As Carracino is inhaling marijuana, the Officer asks him for his medicinal marijuana card. Medicinal use is authorized for approved patients with certified conditions in Florida. Carracino responds that “Oh. Yeah. Yeah I do. I’m working on it.”
They laugh at his opposing reply, then Carracino says, “Come on guys, let’s talk.”
But the deputy is more concerned in the two-foot tall marijuana plant in Carracino’s garden. “Is that your plant?” they enquire. Carricino immediately gives confirmatory reply, and the deputy asks if he uses Miracle-Gro or just water.
That’s when Florida man gives police officers some wise growing guidance. “I thought it was gonna be easy going out to California and learning how to grow pot. The indica strain, the sativa strain and oh boy, you’re looking right at the smallest crystals.”
The Florida man offers one of the police officers to smoke a bowl with him.
They were dazed for his friendly offer, and picks up Carracino in the back of the squadron car. Officers ask him if he is familiar with what’s going on. Carracino says of course, “it’s two o’clock in the [expletive] morning.” The police find out that it’s in fact a quarter of three in the morning. And it doesn’t seem like Carracino is sleep deprived. So he asks for a pick-me-up.
“Okay, I need a cup of Starbucks. Anywhere local we can get one,” Carracino asks, perhaps hoping the deputies would return kindness with kindness.
Sadly, the police has decline his this request as well. But they tell Carracino that he’s arrested. “For?” Carracino asks. “For growing marijuana,” the deputy replies.
“Oh yeah,” Carracino says.
